A leading electrical infrastructure services company is seeking a Field Project Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale energy distribution and substation construction projects. This role leads all field activities, ensuring each project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strict compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. The Field Project Manager serves as the primary on-site liaison among field crews, subcontractors, engineering teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily field operations for energy distribution and substation projects, including construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Implement and enforce all safety programs in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and client-specific procedures.
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to align field progress with project milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site coordination sessions, and job hazard assessments.
  • Oversee logistics, including equipment allocation, material deliveries, and work sequencing.
  • Review and approve field reports, daily logs, and timesheets to ensure accurate project documentation.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and lead mitigation efforts to keep field performance on target.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with all applicable electrical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide regular updates to project management and leadership on schedule, cost, and field performance metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as required by project leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing energy distribution or substation construction projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred.
  • OSHA 30 and current CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, cost tracking, and resource management systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical standards and safety codes, including NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.269.
  • Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel or remain on-site as needed.
