Summary

Climate17 are working alongside a leading owner-operator of large-scale solar PV projects in the UK.

They are actively searching for a electrical technical to join them as a Solar Farm O&M Technician to carry out a mixture of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across their portfolio of solar farms in the region.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems
  • Responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance accordingly with the PPM annual plan
  • Responsible for performing Corrective Maintenance as occur
  • Reporting of activities performed on site, daily basis, through the CMMS or manual reports as applicable
  • Own risk assessment, analysis and operational Limitations. Report all near misses to line manager
  • Responsible for supervision and coordination of third-party contractors carrying out works on site
  • Coordinate third party contractors to comply with H&S Regulations
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, that are suitable for audit
  • Fault finding for any system that is not performing correctly
  • Alert the line manager of any issues

Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, Maintenance or Engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Fault finding and diagnostic experience on electrical systems
  • Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical building services
  • Ability to interpret and work from Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
  • Experience carrying out electrical isolation procedures and safe systems of work
  • Experience producing or working to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience completing maintenance records and compliance documentation
  • Solar PV experience (desirable)
