Quality Manager

Yorkshire
England

Permanent

Competitive

Climate17 is excited to be working with a civil engineering business based in the North West as they look to recruit a Quality Manager to join them in the Yorkshire Region. My client work on a wide range of heavy infrastructure projects from airports maintenance to highways and water projects to renewables projects, so this role would suit someone who has prior experience of working on large, complex infrastructure projects and thrives working on site, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring best practice across the business.

Reporting to the Regional Quality & Compliance Manager, you will have a strong working knowledge of ISO9001 together with an understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001 together with experience of having worked on large, heavy industrial projects and you will be required to support project teams in successfully implementing quality requirements, overseeing internal audit activity and identify any weaknesses. You will be required to maintain strong relationships with clients and supply chain and be the main point of contact for queries related to quality for the Yorkshire region.

In terms of qualifications, it will be beneficial if you have covered the National Highways Sector Schemes previously, you will hold an ISO9001 Internal Auditor qualification and if you have a Lead Auditor qualification and/or if you are a Practitioner or Chartered Member of CQI, that would be advantageous.

It goes without saying you’ll be a competent communicator and you will be able to adapt your style depending on who you’re engaging with and you’ll be comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines to uphold the highest standards of quality. You will produce and present reports to your manager and you’ll review client specifications and ensure relevant changes are cascaded down to project teams.

You will be based at their office in Leeds and you’ll go to site as and when required, so you will hold a full UK driving licence and a CSCS Card and the willingness and flexibility to travel.

So, if you feel you possess the skills and experience required for this role and you would like to find out more, please contact Katie Pereira at katie@climate17.com for an informal conversation.
