A leading renewable energy boutique is seeking a Project Manager to drive successful execution of solar, battery storage, and other clean energy infrastructure projects. This position is central to the company’s mission of delivering high-quality, sustainable energy systems and ensuring seamless project delivery from start to finish.

We’re looking for an organized, proactive professional who thrives in dynamic environments and brings both technical understanding and strong leadership to each project. The ideal candidate values precision, collaboration, and results-driven execution.

Applicants must be commutable to Honolulu. Renewable energy experience is required, project management or project engineering of solar and/or BESS preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle project delivery, from site evaluation and permitting through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, schedules, and execution plans, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and cost targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, procurement, construction management, and field operations to maintain schedule and quality alignment.
  • Track project performance with regular progress reports, forecasts, and budget updates.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while managing scope changes, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination among clients, utilities, subcontractors, suppliers, and permitting authorities.
  • Ensure timely completion of all permitting, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead or support system commissioning to confirm project performance meets design and contractual standards.
  • Maintain accurate records including RFIs, RFPs, submittals, change orders, as-built drawings, and close-out deliverables.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining internal processes, templates, and workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or engineering renewable energy or construction projects (solar and battery storage strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record overseeing turnkey projects in fast-paced environments.
  • In-depth understanding of construction drawings, permitting, utility interconnection, and contract management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with an emphasis on proactive problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Knowledge of Hawaii permitting requirements and energy regulations is a strong advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle required.
