Manager, Energy Asset Management | Renewable Energy

A growing investment platform is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of renewable energy investments across the financial, operational, tax and contractual lifecycle.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced renewable energy professional to work closely with developers, sponsors, investors and internal teams, ensuring portfolio performance, protecting investor returns and managing projects through construction, substantial completion and ongoing operations.

The role will cover asset management, project finance, renewable tax credits and transaction management, including financial analysis, project waterfalls, investor reporting, sponsor consent requests, substantial completion funding, portfolio risk management and asset valuations.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial, operational, tax and contractual performance of renewable energy investments.
• Review project financial statements, budgets, forecasts and project-finance models.
• Monitor project milestones through mechanical completion, placed-in-service and substantial completion.
• Review and manage cash flows, waterfalls, distributions, asset management fees and investor returns.
• Review tax documents and assess tax considerations impacting investor returns.
• Manage sponsor consent requests and contractual obligations.
• Prepare investor reporting and communications.
• Support substantial completion funding and transaction-closing workstreams.
• Perform asset valuations and support project exits at the end of compliance periods.
• Identify and resolve operational, financial and contractual risks.
• Build strong relationships with developers, sponsors and investors.
• Mentor junior asset management professionals and contribute to process improvement.

Key qualifications:

• 5–10 years of renewable energy experience; exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Background in renewable asset management, project finance, investment management or a related field.
• Experience with solar, BESS or other renewable energy assets.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, including project-finance models, sensitivities, cash waterfalls and investor return calculations.
• Understanding of ITC/PTC, tax equity and renewable energy investment structures, including partnership flips or inverted leases.
• Familiarity with PPAs, O&M, EPC, interconnection and other project agreements.
• Strong understanding of renewable project economics and revenue streams.
• Experience managing transactions, closings or projects through substantial completion is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.

Location: Atlanta, GA or Remote.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 + bonus and good benefits package.
