Electrician - Renewable energy

Role

Climate17 are working exclusively with a growing, MCS accredited renewable energy business who deliver high-quality Solar PV, battery and EV ChargePoint installations to domestic and commercial clients across the South of England.

Owing to continued growth, they are actively looking to hire a Fully Qualified Electrician to become part of a forward-thinking business specialising in renewable energy solutions, alongside domestic and commercial electrical installations.

They are looking for an experience and competent person who takes pride in their work, delivers exceptional customer service, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities
 

• Installing and commissioning rooftop Solar PV systems in line with industry standards.
• Installing battery energy storage systems to support renewable energy and energy management solutions.
• Carrying out EV charger installations for residential and commercial customers.
• Undertaking a variety of domestic and commercial electrical installation work, including first and second fix, as well as system upgrades.
• Completing consumer unit replacements and upgrades, ensuring all work complies with current wiring regulations.
• Carrying out inspection, testing, fault finding and diagnosis of electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
• Accurately completing installation records, certification and job documentation.
• Representing the business professionally on customer sites, maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer service at all times.

Requirements
 

• Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• ECS JIB Gold Card
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High standards of workmanship with strong attention to detail
• Solar PV installation experience (Desirable)
• Battery storage and EV charger installation experience (Desirable)
• Experience working on commercial electrical projects (Desirable)
• IPAF and PASMA qualifications (Desirable)

Location:          Field based - Southern England (Dorset, Hants)
