With 15 years of global success, our client develops and delivers impactful utility-scale and large community-scale solar and battery storage projects. Their approach is grounded in strategic land acquisition, trusted community engagement, and a reputation for technical excellence. As part of their continued US expansion, they are now building out their EPC Services team and seeking a commercially focused, high-performing Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition efforts.

This is a unique opportunity to join a well-backed and entrepreneurial organisation at a pivotal stage of growth in the US territory while bringing their EPC capabilities from other latitudes. As one of the first hires into the EPC Services team in the US, youll play a key role in shaping the commercial direction taking a hands-on approach to identifying, pursuing, and closing new EPC service contracts for solar and BESS projects. Youll be trusted to bring your existing network, energy, and autonomy to the role, with the support of a proven leadership team and strong project delivery capabilities.

Position: Business Development Manager EPC Services
Location: Charlotte, NC

Your Opportunity:

Youll be trusted to bring your existing network, energy, and autonomy to the role, with the support of a proven leadership team and strong project delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for EPC services across utility and community-scale solar and storage
- Identify and cultivate relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, and C&I customers
- Own the full sales cyclefrom lead generation and RFP response through contract negotiation and closing.
- Leverage your network to generate and convert leads into EPC contract opportunities
- Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations in response to RFPs and direct requests, working cross-functionally with estimating, engineering, and project management teams
- Coordinate with pre-construction and engineering teams to ensure commercial accuracy and technical alignment
- Work with internal teams to establish procedures necessary to bid on opportunities
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution
- Work with our procurement team establishing partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, and financial stakeholders to enhance competitiveness and delivery capacity.
- Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline to support quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
- 46 years experience in business development or sales of EPC services in the renewable energy sector
- Proven ability to originate and close EPC contracts, ideally within solar and/or BESS
- Established network of contacts across developers, utilities, and energy buyers in the US market
- Comfortable working in a scale-up environment self-motivated, autonomous, and accountable
- Excellent communication, commercial, and negotiation skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagement and deal closure
