The Opportunity
As an Automation Engineer, youll be responsible for the software design, implementation, and support of automation and process control system projects - from new installations to system upgrades and ongoing customer support.
Youll take ownership of the full lifecycle: programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and start-up of automation systems at client sites. Activities are often performed on-site at customer facilities, requiring a blend of technical skill, independence, and collaboration.

The Opportunity
As an Automation Engineer, youll be responsible for the software design, implementation, and support of automation and process control system projects - from new installations to system upgrades and ongoing customer support.
Youll take ownership of the full lifecycle: programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and start-up of automation systems at client sites. Activities are often performed on-site at customer facilities, requiring a blend of technical skill, independence, and collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, programming, and commissioning PLC / HMI systems for automation and process-control projects.
- Programming using Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk ME/SE, PanelView, and related technologies.
- Developing code from scratch, implementing modifications, and supporting integration and start-up.
- Reading and interpreting control schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
- Configuring and commissioning VFDs, managing switch setups, and assisting with basic IT connectivity (ports, firewalls, networks).
- Leading or contributing to site start-ups, troubleshooting, and service support under pressure.
- Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Systems Architects, Project Engineers, and other Automation Engineers.
- Participating in an after-hours on-call rotation to support customer operations.
About You

You will bring:
- An Associate Degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical Technology, EET or similar (BS Engineering also considered).
- A valid drivers licence and ability to travel 2550%.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general PC literacy.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented attitude.
Experience level guide:
Automation Engineer II: 37 years of PLC/HMI programming and system start-up experience.
Automation Engineer III: 10 years of advanced programming, commissioning, and leadership experience, including mentoring others and owning project start-ups independently.
