I moved to Bournemouth in the late ‘90s. After studying Media and Journalism in college, I worked in various financial services positions before finding my niche in recruitment in 2014, where I focussed on sales & business development. My recruitment experience also includes a period of working in Sydney, Australia, where I enjoyed gaining some international recruitment experience.
I returned to the UK in 2019, joining Climate17 shortly after. It was great to find a company which shared my values of providing an ethical, professional recruitment service for clients and candidates alike. Since joining Climate17, I have become more aware of the challenges the world faces to reach net-zero and it feels really rewarding to work with companies who share our mission for clean energy and a greener planet.
The most rewarding aspect of recruitment for me has always been the long-term relationships you develop with clients and candidates. Candidates value the fact you’ve made a real difference to their lives when they achieve their dream job, and clients values the positive contribution you’d made to their organisation.
My focus is on the renewable energy development sector, where I work closely with consultancies and project developers who focus on the growth of clean energy through the deployment of various technologies. I work with a variety of clients who specialise in solar, wind, hydrogen and battery storage development, and pride myself on sourcing talented, credible professionals who share my passion for clean energy.
