Since I started working in sustainability recruitment in 2007, my experience has centred around supporting the growth of purpose-driven organisations through strategic talent acquisition.
Over this time, I have built up extensive knowledge through successfully delivering a broad range of environmental, sustainability and renewable energy mandates for various organisations, from high-growth start-ups, strategic advisory firms, NGOs, major corporations and financial institutions. I enjoy the variety and challenge which comes from integrating environmentally responsible positions into organisations that have an awareness that they must make a change for good.
I currently focus on recruiting key individuals at senior level and cover positions across clean energy, carbon reduction, conservation, reforestation, responsible investment and ESG. I have seen first-hand the positive impact these positions have on organisations from a social, environmental and commercial perspective.
In January 2018, I co-founded Climate17 with a vision of being a part of the solution to inequality and climate change. Since then, we have grown our business offering across three key services, each of which provides specialist, purposeful solutions to our clients and candidates.
We are building a platform for our team to deliver unique solutions that are purpose-driven and effective. We are heading through the next phase of growth as all sectors strive to develop and implement carbon-efficient, environmental and socially responsible strategies fit for a net-zero world in response to the heightening climate emergency.

Demand for ESG and sustainability skills are higher than ever, but sometimes those recruiting don’t know exactly what they are looking for, or how much to pay them.
Climate17 have moved to a new office!
We tried to ensure that what our employees wanted from an office space was at the heart of our renovation decisions. We utilised the new space for the type of business that we are as well as importantly take steps to make it sustainable.
The power of social purpose
This year I invested in a project in the local community – a theatre-themed café, which also has a 90-seat studio theatre called The Black Cherry.
