Our client is a world-leading provider of digital solutions for managing risk and improving safety and asset performance for energy (renewables, wind energy, oil and gas) and maritime (offshore structures). Their open industry data platform, cyber security and software solutions support business-critical activities across many industries, including maritime and energy.

We are currently looking for a Software Implementation Lead to join the Consulting EMEA team responsible for asset integrity management software. This team implements the client's software product for businesses across the region. The successful candidate will principally be responsible for technical delivery and leadership of asset integrity management software implementations across the EMEA region.

Position Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant computer science/engineering/science discipline highly desirable
  • We would expect the suitable candidate to have demonstrable experience in a relevant industry and with direct experience of technical software implementation for external customers
  • Knowledge of the oil & gas industry, energy industry & chemical process industries a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to the Asset Integrity Management and Asset Performance Management domains desirable but not essential
  • Ability to travel across the EMEA region (4 or 5 times a year).

Key Programming Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Experience with web application architectures working with Microsoft IIS and connecting to Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases and APIs
  • Good database knowledge (installation, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance)
  • Ability to work with customer IT teams on web application installation, configuration, and administration
  • Experience with Azure-hosted solutions, including establishing connections with third-party systems is desirable rather than essential
  • Experience in building complex SQL statements and tuning to run efficiently and experience with PL/SQL scripting
  • Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and amend existing code
  • Knowledge of C# and .NET Framework is desirable
  • Exposure to technical/engineering software implementations within the energy/engineering industry or associated industries is highly desirable
  • Understanding of asset integrity and reliability domains and associated software systems is very desirable
  • Technical leadership of software delivery and data migration projects
  • Customer-facing skills associated with gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and delivering training
  • Client-facing skills: ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Support in the planning and costing of software delivery projects.
