Our client is now looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team. It is a full-time role, and it will report to the Head of Operations.

The Project Manager is responsible for successfully delivering on existing commitments in grant projects, which are a mix of European, UK and Internationally funded collaborative projects, and for sourcing and managing the submission of new funding proposals for projects aligned with the organisation's current product roadmap.

Within the operation team, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading on existing projects with tasks including resourcing, progress tracking, communication and representation at any necessary forums, meetings, and events. The position is ideally suited to a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, with excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills as well as a good understanding of the financial management and delivery of funding projects. Ideally, the candidate would have experience in managing EU projects and/or a good level of knowledge and experience DSR and Capacity markets.


  • Ensure projects deliver on time and on budget.
  • Work with Ops Team to ensure adequate support from all teams is provided.
  • Maintain and develop project pipeline in alignment with company's own roadmap objectives and strategic direction.
  • Financial tracking and reporting of project activities.
  • Hosting project meetings when necessary.
  • Coordinating project deliverables.
  • Individual contribution to project deliverables.
  • Representing our client and presenting at respective events.
  • Ensure a clear process is defined for resourcing the delivery work and for capturing personnel efforts in real time in alignment with current procedures established by the company functions.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the Senior Management Team.


  • Ideally over 5 years relevant experience, at least part of it with European Grants - Horizon 2020, Innovate UK etc, or in DSR/Capacity Market space.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; working knowledge of foreign languages advantageous but not required (e.g., German, French).
  • Highly motivated individual.
  • Enthusiastic about green energy and technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to confidently present sophisticated/technical concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker, with operational delivery capability.
  • Strong relationship building skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills.
  • Mature, entrepreneurial, self-motivated individual.
  • Team player, able to work both individually and on team projects.
  • A background in the energy field would be an advantage, in particular, in Demand Side Response programmes and Capacity markets.
