Our client is a well-backed solar, battery storage and hydrogen developer in the United Kingdom backed by a large investment fund. They specialise in delivering cutting-edge renewable energy projects in strategic locations across the country, as well as providing onsite energy solutions for energy-intensive industries.

They seek a seasoned, driven, and creative development professional to assume the role of Operations Director in the Development Division. This individual will be tasked with ensuring the company achieves its strategic and financial objectives, while also overseeing the successful accomplishment of crucial milestones across all aspects of the company's core development activities.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the successful candidate will work closely with other senior leaders and external stakeholders to coordinate and drive the operations of the Company forward, fostering growth, sustainability, innovation and compliance.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and CTO and other executive team members to set company-wide goals, performance metrics, and long-term growth plans.

Team Management:

  • Directly manage the day-to-day operations of the Development Division.
  • Collaborate closely with the Power Green and Technical divisions, assisting the respective divisions in strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Financial Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the Finance division to set project budgets, monitor spending, and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Drive financial planning and strategy, ensuring alignment with operational needs and growth projections.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate cross-divisional teams to optimise project delivery and ensure technical and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, governmental bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and events, promoting our brand and mission.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the renewable energy sector.
  • Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity across all divisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements
