Lead Asset Manager - Floating Solar PV

Climate17 are partnered exclusively with a renewable energy focused investment and management company who are actively developing the largest pipeline of floating solar PV projects in Europe.
They are actively looking to hire a Lead Asset Manager to spearhead a fast-growing portfolio of Solar PV assets across the Southeast of England; training and managing a team of skilled and effective asset managers in the process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Asset Management and operational oversight of a growing portfolio of Behind the meter solar projects.
- Lead the Asset management function for the business, including the recruitment and training of a team of asset managers as the portfolio continues to grow.
- Overseeing contract management, client reporting and compliance.
- Solar Asset Performance monitoring and reporting.
- Ensuring the compliance of the power purchase agreements and the reporting and invoicing process.
- Stakeholder engagement and management; work collaboratively across the business to build exceptional stakeholder relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive down risks.
- Acts as an ambassador for the business with all stakeholders internally and externally.
- Actively protecting, managing, and enhancing the reputation of the company to external customers and stakeholders
- Subject matter expert in Solar PV management
- Have a breadth of knowledge of Asset Management in the renewables sector.
Requirements
- Degree educated in relevant field (Engineering/STEM etc.) or a Professional qualification in Asset Management.
- 3-5 years' experience in renewable/solar PV/battery/Asset Management. Experience of new/floating solar would be advantageous.
- Leading, managing, and coaching multi-disciplined teams.
- Contract literacy, i.e., ability to read key commercial contracts and understand risk allocation and two-way obligations between parties (e.g., EPC contract, O&M contract).
- A good balance of commercial and technical skills in battery projects and/or solar projects of different sizes and different stages of the operational life.
- Able to analyse and evaluate asset performance. Have a risk awareness mindset with the ability to identify risks and put in place effective mitigants.
- Management of third parties and sub-contractors.
Location: Hybrid working - Home based plus travel to London offices
