Our client is an asset management company in the energy sector. They are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their collaborative working environment in Bristol, with the opportunity for hybrid working.

As Junior Developer, you will be working in a team delivering software features in line with the software roadmap and business priorities, as well as providing operational IT support activities for the software created.

Location: Central Bristol / Hybrid Working

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with the monitoring and reporting team to ensure functioning of data warehouse platform
  • Ensuring data integrity and flows from multiple sources into the data warehouse and useful outputs to the monitoring team
  • Working with the lead developer to plan and execute data warehouse development strategy
  • Looking for other areas of integration and automation across the data and reporting team
  • Supporting other teams with accessing data from the system and developing UIs for these interactions
  • Looking for other areas to automate information flows in the wider business and helping to deliver these projects

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • CV proven experience of developing using Python and industry-standard Python frameworks
  • Experience of GCP, front-end development, Microsoft PowerBI is desirable
  • An understanding of Python and developing APIs
  • An understanding of front-end technologies
  • Usage of DevOps processes including the integration of security & quality tooling within CICD pipelines (continuous integration/ continuous deployment)
  • Familiar with cloud environments especially GCP and Azure
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
