Our client is a leading research and consulting company helping organisations develop the right strategies, business models and customer propositions for the energy transition. With the unique depth and breadth of expertise in the energy transition space, their mission is to help clients to successfully navigate the change from 'old energy' to 'new energy'.

They provide bespoke consultancy and subscription research services and allow clients to access in-depth research in a business-specific knowledge area.

The Opportunity

They are looking for a Head of Sales to lead and grow their high-performing sales team, continue to develop and implement a successful sales strategy. This is a great opportunity to take a profitable sales team to the next level, and help clients navigate the energy transition.


  • Owning all sales plans and strategies, including refining and adapting the sales strategy.
  • Creating and developing sales processes for maintaining a sustainable sales pipeline including facilitating communication between the sales team, research, and consulting teams
  • Working collaboratively across Marketing, Products, Consulting and Finance teams
  • Providing direction and leadership to the sales team
  • Development of individuals within the team, supporting and motivating them toward achieving business objectives, setting, and monitoring objectives and activities
  • Delivering on sales targets as an individual contributor

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications

  • 7 years of B2B professional services sales experience in energy transition space
  • Proficiency in sales team management - skillful leadership and team building skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • A track record of delivery and excellent sales performance as a manager and individual contributor
  • Ideally, experience liaising with clients about subscription/research & data services in clean energy sector
  • Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices for professional services, and the ability to coach others on them
  • Analytical and quantitative skills that enable you to use data / logic / evidence to make compelling sales recommendations and drive sales actions
  • Ability to build trusting relationships both between different teams and senior industry people
  • Collaborative and team oriented working skills
  • Alignment with the company values and energy transition mission
