Climate17 is working with a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) to find a Grid Connection Manager to lead critical grid infrastructure projects across the US.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a company delivering innovative solutions across solar photovoltaic and onshore wind energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with Transmission Owners and Providers to secure and manage grid connections.
- Oversee the procurement, construction, and compliance of high-voltage evacuation infrastructure, including substations and transmission lines.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Conduct technical due diligence, presenting connection solutions, and ensuring grid code compliance.
- Supervise health and safety, quality standards, and regulatory adherence throughout project phases.
- A degree-qualified engineer with 10 years of experience in energy, power systems, or electrical infrastructure (IPPs, TSO, DSO, or EPC experience preferred).
- Proven leadership and project management expertise, with a solid understanding of grid codes and regulations.
- Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
- Adept at stakeholder management and delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Competitive salary up to $165,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience.
