Ecological Field Officer

Our client is one of the UK's leading, award-winning, ecological and arboricultural consultancies. They have established an excellent reputation for providing client-focused, cost-effective advice and expertise on all ecological and arboricultural issues that occur during the planning and development process.


As a key member of the Ecology Team you will have a predominantly site-based role assisting with the ecological elements of projects. You will be working on large-scale infrastructure projects and duties will include:

  • Planning works schedules and client liaison
  • Ecological clerk of works including supervision
  • Assisting in and completing surveys for multiple species
  • Data collection and reporting


  • A background in either field-based ecology or environmental landscaping is essential
  • You will be confident working in the field with a positive work ethic and have a minimum of one years' experience in a similar role
  • With good interpersonal skills you will be able to clearly communicate both with clients and colleagues
  • The role requires elements of reporting and as such a keen eye for detail and competence with IT packages is important
