Contracts Manager - Commercial Solar PV

Location: Hybrid Working - Travel to sites and South Coast offices as required

Role

Climate17 are partnered with a leading renewable energy business who specialise in the origination, development and management of commercial, industrial and residential solar systems and portfolios on behalf of large institutional investors.

They are actively searching for an experienced Contracts Manager who will support the Asset Management and Project Management team in their commercial and industrial Solar projects.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Liaise and negotiate with third parties, including EPC contractors and landlords.
  • Management of legal work streams to ensure timely completion of agreements and settlements.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of EPC contracts for our solar projects, post construction. In particular: PAC and FAC monitoring and oversight, Punchlist tracking and closure, Management of warranty claims.
  • Track project budgets, costs, and expenditures, and work with finance teams to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for EPC contractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Continuously assess project performance, efficiency, and quality. Implement corrective actions when necessary to optimise asset performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance, and compliance to senior management and relevant stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in commercial asset management, ideally in rooftop solar projects.
  • Experience negotiating and managing legal agreements (including EPC, O&M and lease)
  • Strong and demonstrable project management skills.
  • Knowledge of solar energy industry practices, EPC contracts, and renewable energy regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think strategically and prioritise in a fast paced, often ambiguous environment.
  • Outstanding MS Office skills, in particular Excel.
  • Right to work in the UK.
