Our client is an international energy and sustainability consultancy delivering consultancy services and technology solutions to large complex international and global organisations. They help clients buy and use energy more efficiently, and to deliver renewable energy and net zero strategies to reduce emissions, ultimately promoting sustainable business growth.

They are looking for a Content Creator and Copywriter to write and publish relevant and compelling content for the clients on company web pages and other digital mediums, such as articles, white papers, corporate publications, and social media posts. As a creative Copywriter your clear and concise copy will inform and engage target audiences, cutting through digital noise. This is an important position within the Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing.

Content Creator responsibilities include producing marketing copy to promote products and services, identifying the challenges customers experience and posing the solutions available to them, writing blog posts about industry-related topics, and promoting content on social media. You will understand how to structure and create different levels of/and types of content to engage audiences and encourage them to open a dialogue when appropriate. You will be critical to the success of campaigns that inform, educate, and create opportunities for new business.

The ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative writer with an eye for detail. You are experienced in, and have, practical knowledge of communicating business energy or sustainable energy matters in a compelling way to engage and inform existing and potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business in a B2B environment. You will be comfortable both creating and executing a considered content strategy. You can grasp project requirements quickly and offer valuable insight.

Ultimately, you will help reach target audiences by delivering both useful and appealing information about the company and products, and how they enable clients to achieve sustainable business growth.

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to establish a content strategy.
  • Research industry-related topics.
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms.
  • Create and distribute marketing copy to advertise the company and products.
  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice.
  • Interpret copy-writing briefs to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large-and small-scale marketing projects (e.g., email campaigns and landing pages).
  • Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts.
  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication.
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimise content.
  • Use SEO principles to maximise copy's reach.
  • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g., comments and shares).
  • Identify customer's needs and recommend new topics.
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles.
  • Measure web traffic to content (e.g., conversion and bounce rates).
  • Update websites as needed.
  • Source images and other content.


  • A degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter, or similar role with 3 years in a mid to senior position.
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
  • Knowledge of business energy or sustainable energy markets.
  • Experience within B2B enterprise marketing.
  • Exceptional copy-writing and editing skills, with the ability to create content that grabs attention, engages audiences across different channels and stimulates action.
  • Portfolio of published articles.
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English.
  • An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces.
  • Strong research skills.
