Climate17 is working with an established independent renewable energy development company which is growing its experienced team to meet its growing customer demand for renewables. With a good track-record and an exciting growth runway, the business has the capabilities to deliver M&A, offtake, solve grid constraints, and deliver project assets and project design for construction.

Joining the leadership team, you will enjoy a fun, growth-oriented team environment. You will provide leadership to the organization and guide the business towards its long-term vision. Collaborating with the CEO, you'll devise short and long-term action plans to align daily operations with the company's strategic goals. Overseeing company-wide operations, you'll look to integrate business functions to drive results and spur growth while increasing efficiency and oversight. You'll drive and embody the company culture and be key to individual development among the executive team and all employees.

To suit this role you must have a background in renewable energy, ideally onshore wind, and five years executive-level operational management experience. The role is based in Minnesota, preference for full-time on-site to drive culture (hybrid considered).

Key Duties

• Vision & Strategy - Work with the CEO to plan strategy and drive company vision
• Operations - Internal organization work, on-boarding new team, devising and developing processes
• Finance - Oversee company finance and accounting operations, budgeting, setting financial reporting frameworks and billing models with CEO, Controller, and financial team
• HR - Internal HR policies and setting recruitment standards, facilitate payroll and benefits
• Marketing - Direct toward company goals, define target audiences to build relationships and brand messaging
• Culture - collaborate with the CEO to reinforce and build on company values, foster growth and teamwork

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business or similar
• MBA, Masters, or similar
• 5 years of executive-level operational management experience
• Substantial IPP development experience in the electric power sector
• Exceptional executive presence, business acumen and presentation skills
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills
• Strong leadership skills
