Our client is a leading charitable organisation who support the FMCG sector by providing commercial insight and support. They have an extensive partner list and far-reaching networks within industry and government departments. At present they are looking for a Sustainability Programme Manager to manage and deliver a range of sustainability programmes within the food and consumer goods industry.

This is an exciting role where you will work in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, have the opportunity to take part in industry events and working groups to engage members and raise awareness of sustainability topics including food waste reduction, sustainable packaging and climate change.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of key sustainability programmes, meeting targets and working within budget.
  • Reporting on progress, aware of risks, opportunities and planning for contingency.
  • Develop relevant content for reports, briefing notes and online articles.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback for continuous improvement and potential opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop communication strategy and ensure consistency and accuracy in all written content.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with a wide-ranging network of industry professionals and corporates, government departments, NGO's and academics.
  • Represent the organisation in various meetings, events and workshops.

 

Requirements

  • Prior sustainability experience gained from within the UK food and consumer goods sector.
  • Strong Project Management skills, having successfully led project teams, worked under pressure and juggled priorities.
  • Attained Degree level education in Sustainability.
  • Confident communicator with the ability engage with a wide range of senior executives and drive programmes.
