RenewableUK and Solar Energy UK have teamed up to bring you a not-to-be-missed webinar series dedicated to connecting buyers and sellers of clean energy – “Clean Energy Exchange 2021”. Consisting of four sessions presented by experts from different areas of the industry, it enables individuals to explore the opportunities in the sector, to discuss the barriers to procurement and establish robust protocols for long-term investment in power purchase agreements. Sessions have been dedicated to Technology, Water, Transport and Public Sector, supported by EDF Renewables, ScottishPower, techUK and Water UK, CMS, DLA Piper, HBS New Energies, Weightmans and Zeigo.
Next up in the series is a webinar will be focusing on the transport sector, how to reduce carbon emissions and what role electrification will play in the route to net zero. Topics will include optimising the benefits of power purchase agreements, learning how EV charging stations can be linked to onsite generation, energy storage and renewable PPAs, as well as maximising shareholder value and brand enhancement.
The series will be concluded in July with a Public Sector programme looking at the growth of clean energy in the industry and potential challenges in the short- and long-term. Delegates will gain information on the clean energy options available, how to upskill and cross skill the workforce, how to budget, what role aggregation models play in delivering scaling and capacity, and reduced risk pricing strategies.
For anyone that missed the first two virtual events in the series, interesting blog pieces are available to access on the RenewableUK website based on comments and views from speakers. See what Levent Gürdenli from Weightmans and Jennifer Keogh from DLA Piper thought respectively about corporate PPAs in the water sector. You can also read more into supporting growth of the tech sector with a piece from Juan Pablo of Zeigo, all available for free on the website.
